03/6Difference between hunger and craving
She states hunger is all about the need of the body to gain energy and recharge the body with anything edible. While craving is about a mental state where you need something particular, else it may trigger some health or behaviour problem. For instance, when you are at Gurudwara, eating Kadha Prasad is a normal phenomenon, but when you visit Gurudwara just to eat Kadha Prasad, because you are craving for it, is an alarming sign that needs to be handled with care. She adds, “Add these three things to control sugar cravings in your daily life.” (Image: istock)
04/6Pickle/Morabba
Rujuta suggests adding homemade pickles to your daily diet. Also, homemade morabbas are equally good to control cravings. The natural sugar present in morabbas, helps satisfy the cravings without excessive consumption of artificial sugar. (Image: istock)
05/6Diversify the pulses
She recommends that those who are suffering from sugar cravings on a regular basis, should start adding more varieties of pulses in their daily diet. 06/6Eat millets twice a week
She also recommends adding millets twice a week to your diet. They are lower on the glycemic index than other grains and can help control the regular sugar cravings. She suggests adding jowar or bajra in the form of roti, paratha or even poha to get maximum benefits. (Image: istock)
